Property Valuer at Appraisal Corporation

Jenny is a Professional Valuer at Appraisal Corporation. She obtained a B.Comm (Hons.) degree with Property Investment and Business Economics as subjects at the University of Stellenbosch. She is the past Vice President of SACPVP and currently serves as a Disciplinary Investigator for the SACPVP.

Jenny has over 25 years experience in valuations. In 2002 the Minister of Finance appointed Jenny as an expert valuer and assessor to the Court, with special reference to the South African Revenue Services Tax Appeal Board. She has also been an expert witness in a number of legal matters in Namibia. Jenny has had an immense involvement with the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University and the Cape Peninsular University of Technology. She has a passion for the education of the future generation of valuers in South Africa. She has been a course administrator / lecturer for Southern Branch Practical Workschool and lectured at the SAIV Practical Workschool in Pretoria. These workschools were offered once a year on behalf of the SA Council for the Property Valuers Profession. Jenny has extensive experience with the valuation of specialised properties. And although Cape based, her experience in hotel valuations has resulted in instructions to undertake valuations of private game lodges in Northern Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mpumalanga and Namibia and most recent hospitality valuations in Namibia include Erindi, Protea Hotels in Walvis Bay and Luderitz, as well the Hotel Thule and the Hilton Hotel in Windhoek.

Jenny is a fellow member at the SAIV and served on the National Executive for a number of years. She was also previously served as a Chairperson of the Southern Branch.

Tracey Myers has been dedicated to the Valuation profession for over 20 years.

Her involvement has culminated in the growth of the profession with learning and development amongst valuers. She has provided lectures at the SACPVP Workschool, has lectured to undergraduate, postgraduate and master students at University of Pretoria, University of Johannesburg and WITS.
She has also provided lectures for institutions within the real estate industry such as RICS, SAIV and SAPOA; and also lectures for the Standard Bank Group for internal courses and Africa regions on valuation.
Tracey has served on the Services SETA Real Estate Chamber and currently serves on the Council for the Built Environment Appeal Board, and on committees for SA Property Owners Association and for SA Council for Shopping Centres.
In 2019 she was nominated in the category ‘Professional of the Year’ by the Women’s Property Network. She was the first woman Fellow President of the South African Institute of Valuers in 110 years. She is currently a Senior Valuer – Wholesale Risk at Standard Bank.
