Nicol Jansen Vice President at Agri South Africa Nicol Jansen was born on October 10, 1972, in Hopetown, and was the third generation to matriculate at Hoërskool Hopetown. He served in the South African National Defence Force as a Lieutenant in 23 Field Squadron Bethlehem in 1992. Later, he attended Glen Agricultural College and began farming on the family farm in 1996. He farmed under irrigation with various cash crops and livestock, including dorpers on natural grazing.
Nic Knoetze CEO of SA Association for Water User Associations
Nic Knoetze CEO of SA Association for Water User Associations Nic Knoetze, CEO of SAAFWUA, has a National Diploma in Civil Engineering and over 50 years of experience in the water affairs sector. He held various roles at the Department of Water Affairs and Forestry, including Area Manager and Deputy Regional Director. He was instrumental in implementing the new Water Act and represented the Northern Cape in compiling government regulations. As CEO of Oranje Riet Water User Association and later SAAFWUA, he managed large-scale water schemes and promoted sustainable water use practices. He is a member of the South African Irrigation Institute and has held various leadership positions.
