Eileen’s role at MSCI provides her with a unique perspective of real estate investment strategy and portfolio optimisation. Now as vice president at MSCI, Eileen has experience working with both South African and multinational real estate funds, gathered from her 16 years with MSCI (previously IPD) both in South Africa and London. She holds a degree in Mathematics and Human Geography from WITS University. Eileen believes that the numbers tell the real story and that makes for better investment decisions.

Passionate Real Estate professional with over 20 years experience in the industry that has involved working on real estate finance transactions in the leading financial institutions in South Africa. Experience has also been obtained working outside the financial institutions in finance department of property owners as well as for leading retail chains. Mandla is a qualified CA(SA) and also holds an MsC in Finance (Economic Policy) from the University of London.

Janet Channing, Managing Director of MetGovis, is a registered professional property valuer, with extensive experience within local government specifically in the areas of municipal valuation and rating. Janet is registered with the South African Council for Property Valuers Profession and is a member of the South African Institute of Valuers. Janet has a Master's in Applied Ethics, National Diploma in Real Estate, a project management diploma and a post-graduate diploma in human resources management. She is currently doing her research doctoral thesis through the University of Pretoria on the use of geospatial data for the sustainability of local government. She endorses the requirement for an accurate geospatial property register as the hub for all property related business within municipalities.
