Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the SA Institute of Valuers.
Please make sure you have the following documents/information available before completing the online form:
· Certified ID Copy
· Certified proof of registration for an accredited valuation qualification, or proof of completed qualification
· SACPVP Registration Certificate
· We also require the names and contact details (telephone and email address) of three persons, preferably members of the Institute, who may be contacted for references. (No family or friends).
Kindly notify your referees that they will receive a reference request form from the SAIV to complete. Unsuitable references will unnecessarily delay your application.
For persons who are registered as Professional Valuers or Professional Associated Valuers with the SACPVP.
Being persons of good character, reputation and mental health who are registered with an educational institution accredited by the SACPVP for the purpose of completing a prescribed course in property valuation or who are registered as Candidate Valuers with the SACPVP or who have completed their studies and have the intention of registering as a Candidate Valuer.
Being persons of good character, reputation and mental health who are registered with an educational institution accredited by the SACPVP for the purpose of completing a prescribed course in property valuation or who are registered as Candidate Valuers with the SACPVP or who have completed their studies and have the intention of registering as a Candidate Valuer and are unemployed.
Being persons who having previously obtained any category of membership of the Institute, who reside outside the borders of South Africa, and who do not practise in South Africa.
Being persons who are members of a property valuation association or institute with objectives similar to those of the Institute. Or persons who are registered as professionals within Councils forming part of the Council for the Built Environment who have a particular interest in and/ or connection with the property valuation profession.
Being persons who are members of a property valuation association or institute with objectives similar to those of the Institute who are based outside the borders of South Africa.
